Social media themes – January

Hello from the sunny UK. At least, for today! For my first post of 2021, I wish to share an idea I had last month. Like all ideas it’s work in progress, so bare with me whilst I flesh it out over the coming weeks.

With lockdown V3.0 in full swing, I want to use my (limited) social media for (slightly) better use. Now, I love and hate social media in equal pleasures. I can’t deny how good it is for so many things but the constant barrage of fake news / people / ads can be little wearing…

So, at the start of 2021, I decided to give my instagram account a monthly theme and share posts to that end. For January I chose x9 motivational quotes I liked, and spread them out over the month. They seemed to go down well, so I think I got off to a reasonable start :-).

For February, I’ve decided to share x9 creative images I’ve captured recently. I’m a believer that creativity (in whatever form) is good for the soul, so I hoped they would spark a little interest in others. I’m yet to know how well that’s gone down. Or, if it’s even been noticed…

For March, I’m thinking of sharing x9 books which have had a positive impact on my life over the past few years. Or perhaps x9 people. For April, I will swing toward something spring like, and for May, I’m not yet sure.

The idea of these blog posts then, is to bring together these posts in a monthly-wrap-up, and share out through my blog and Facebook page.

I’m doing this because they did seem to be well received, and it got me thinking maybe, just maybe, one or two people will take something positive or useful from what’s shared, and that’s got to be a good thing.

So without further delay, here’s the x9 posts from my January blues Instagram account.

In case you wanted to see the original posts on Instagram, you can click here for those. Most of what I share also comes through on my Facebook page / Twitter account.

All that’s left to say is thanks for reading, and feel free to share this post out if you find it has value to you, or someone else.

X
