Decide to trek some of the mountains and get up pretty early, buy a return cable car only to realise you actually can walk back down… Absolutely stunning!! Loads of snow, cool views and as I was first up, almost no one else around! 
Walking down I come across John, a 69 year old Australian linguistics academic, he looks lost to me, I follow him down and end up on an old goat track! We retrace and chat along the way, he has taught english around the world his whole life and lived in some pretty amazing places! Fair play he’s still going strong at 69 out on his own travelling and trekking.
