Six years ago, I left a twenty-one-year corporate career and began a journey that led me through Europe and Morocco in a twenty-year-old campervan; backpacking right across South Africa; trekking up into the Himalayan mountains, and exploring the busy streets of India.

Along the way, I created a blog about the adventure, which I then turned into a book. That may be a cliché, but I wanted to capture my journey and share out what it was like – the good and the bad. I also wanted to share out some of what I’d learnt along the way.  There’s nothing quite like a fresh challenge to invoke some serious personal growth!

For the last four years I developed a landscape and garden design business. Along with the basic garden tasks, I design and build bespoke projects for customers. My background is mechanical engineering; project planning; and learning and development, and many skills transfer across. I also work as a travel writer and have recently established my own column within a magazine.
